'Rosa' the beautiful gypsy caravan (shepherd's hut). A family friendly environment, experience off-grid living in comfort! Decorated in gypsy rose themes, this light & airy space is cosy & romantic. Enjoy views & shade on the decking space. 'Rosa' in its own private terrace in a former vineyard surrounded by trees & grape vines. Below are views across & direct access to the spectacular River Zezere/Lake Cabril for refreshing swims, walks, fishing & water sports.
This colourful and spacious hut is great for couples and families wanting to reconnect with nature. 'Rosa' will comfortably fit 4 people (an extra travel cotcan be provided for an additional child on request) making it great place to base your family holiday.
During winter the wood stove will provide ample heating.
There are gas hobs and all necessary utensils for cooking, a refrigerator,plus a charcoal BBQ outside. Yoga mats are available as well as picnic blankets,garden furniture and hammocks.
'Rosa' is connected to our up-to-date solar system to provide plenty of evening lighting and can charge laptops, phones and any other small electrical devices.
There is a newly installed gas powered shower for all year use, so the hut is a comfortable space to be in. Come join us at Dragonfly Valley- relax, unwind and enjoy!

We can help guests with planning activities, such as hiking, fishing, water sports. We can give you details about the best places to explore, enjoy a picnic or eat out!
The local river /lake is very popular with fishermen and prize winning carp and river bass can be caught. We can assist guests with obtaining a fishing license.
The direct surroundings of Dragonfly Valley and the river Zezere offer a splendid place to enjoy the peace and beauty of nature, to watch the birds or take part in some of the many activities available.
Visit all the picturesque villages in the direct surroundings such as Pedrogão Grande, Pedrogão Pequeno and Mosteiro. A little further down the road is the world heritage site in Tomar, Or the historical university city of Coimbra just a 35 minute drive north.
Own transport is advisable to make the most of your stay but we can arrange pick ups from the local town.
We have plenty of safe parking available around 100 metres of the cabin.
We are only a short walk down to the lake, and a 30 minute walk to high quality restaurants, cafes and a river beach with a bars and cafes.
